On the African continent, the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is growing.

ICT should play a key role in the development of the continent. Significant progress has been noted on the ground in favor of the use of ICT for development. The 2015 report on measuring the information society of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU, 2015) says: “The United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development takes into account the immense potential that lies within ICT and invites countries to significantly increase access to ICT, a measure that will significantly contribute to the implementation of all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ”(p. iii). Among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the one that is particularly close to our heart is that relating to education.

Through objective 4 of the SDGs, it is about ensuring access to quality education for all, on an equal footing, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities.

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Nowadays, we will say that it is impossible to achieve quality education without a real integration of ICT in the learning process, because, the school adapts to technological evolution, especially in a so-called society that of knowledge. Schools must therefore question their role in this knowledge society.

"Now, the diffusion of new technologies and the advent of the Internet as a public network seem to open up new opportunities to widen this public space of knowledge," says UNESCO.
